Volunteer
Path of Service
The Boulder Shambhala Center relies on the generous support of members and friends who volunteer their time and energy. From staffing Shambhala Training Levels, volunteering at cultural events or assuming a Satellite Staff position to serving as a Meditation Instructor or teacher, the path of service offers something for everyone and forms an essential part of the Shambhala experience. Whether you’re a member or just want to be more involved, here are some of the many ways to join us!
Satellite Staff
Satellite staff are a core group of volunteers who serve BSC for six months at a time in contracted positions. They commit to working several hours a week in roles that are essential to the center’s day-to-day functioning. To recognize their service, they may attend various programs and events free of charge, including Way of Shambhala classes (+ materials fee). They also receive program merit and discounts on various other programs.
Requirements: Satellite Staff must be dues-paying members of BSC and have completed Shambhala Training III.
Commitment: Satellite Staff members serve for six months and work with the Director of Membership and Service.
