Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche wrote the Sadhana of Mahamudra in 1968 while on retreat in the cave of Paro Taktsang in Bhutan. The Sadhana of Mahamudra invokes Padmasambhava in the aspect of Dorje Trolö, inseparable from the Karmapa lineage, to help us overcome materialism and confusion in these times. It involves formless meditation, visualization, and chanting.

The sadhana is traditionally practiced communally on the new and full moon days, as well as on special occasions.

This practice is open to all.
