Dance with Hazel Miller Benefit Concert

December 8th (2018)

Date details +
    Room: Main Shrine Room

The Boulder Shambhala Center joyfully presents the Dance with Hazel Miller benefit concert! For those who aren’t yet acquainted with Hazel, she’s Colorado’s premier R&B and jazz vocalist, having opened for such artists as Herbie Hancock, Julian Lennon, Lou Rawls, John Hammond Jr., Lucy Bleu Tremblay, Stanley Jordan, Spyro Gyro, Five Blind Boys of Alabama, the Blues Imperials, James Taylor, and so many more.

With her four-piece band bringing it, over the course of the evening Hazel will take us from soulful jazz standards to get-down, get-loud R&B groove. Hazel can’t wait to get the party started, and we can’t believe our grand luck in hosting this warm, generous and renowned artist at BSC.

In addition to music, the evening will include a silent auction presenting all sorts of dharma treasures as well as items for holiday gifts for friends and family.

Not only a benefit, this gathering is a great chance to be with sangha: young/old, new/senior, and current/former members of our beautiful, borderless community. Please join us!

The Shambhala community will have access to advance ticket purchases for a week prior to opening sales to the general public. At only $20 per ticket, there’s simply no reason not to enjoy each other, make a bid on something special, and dance to Hazel Miller and her band’s irresistible, upbeat selections.

Each ticket includes a free drink at the Connie Rogers Bar (featuring her Great Cosmo Mirror cocktail) and the delights of a catered appetizer buffet.

Especially in these challenging times, let’s celebrate the inherent goodness of humanity and our ability to rouse windhorse and care ever more deeply for each other.

    Tickets are available here.

Doors open and silent auction begins at 6pm. Dancing starts at 7!
