Shambhala Day 2017 - Year of the Firebird
SHAMBHALA DAY marks the beginning of the New Year, and represents one of the most important cultural traditions in Shambhala. The day is calculated astrologically according to the Tibetan lunar calendar, and changes every year to coincide with the annual lunar cycle.
Shambhala Day is a time for us to express the wealth and richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage through feasting, conviviality, elegance and pomp. Everyone is warmly invited to celebrate Shambhala Day 2017- the Year of the Firebird - at the Boulder Shambhala Center.

Note about seating: While it would be wonderful for everyone to sit together on Shambhala Day, it’s likely we’ll need to utilize multiple spaces (with access to the live broadcast set up and tested in advance). Of course, everyone will be invited up for a blessing from the Sakyong. Please also note that reserved seating is a way to extend appreciation for the efforts of the ever-changing leadership in our mandala.
