Member Benefits

As a member of the Boulder Shambhala Center, you have access to a wide variety of resources that will support you in both your individual practice path and involvement in the local and global Shambhala community.

Connection with our community by becoming a member helps support your practice and strengthen your participation in Shambhala in many ways:

  • Membership Directory – Inclusion in and access to an on-line directory of members from the Boulder center. This is accessed online under tab “Community” > “Members Area”. Please contact us at [email protected] if you need assistance signing in.
  • Communications – Regular updates about programs and special events happening at the Boulder Shambhala Center.
  • Shambhala International – Access to Shambhala International member resources, including the Shambhala Network and “Active” status which enables you to participate in advanced programs that your practice qualifies you for.
  • Library – Check out privileges for our extensive dharma book collection.
  • Center Governance and Operations – Eligibility to participate in volunteer working groups as well as encouragement to start practice groups.
  • Ceremonies – Access to the center for wedding and sukhavati ceremonies.
  • Merit – The joy and merit of helping the tradition of meditation to flourish and benefit others.
  • Meditation Instruction – Ongoing, personal instruction with a qualified and experienced meditation instructor.

 

How to Join and Donate

You can become a member and contribute dues or donations through any of the following simple means:

1. Contact the Membership Coordinator at [email protected]

2. Visit the center in person and fill out a membership form.

3. We encourage all new and existing members to create your own account to manage your donation amounts, see volunteer opportunities, and more!  Set up your Neon account here!  

(If you already have been paying dues but would like to create an account so you can manage your dues amount and donations, please contact us for assistance.)

4. Fill out our Online Membership Form. This form allows you to sign up for membership and specify monthly donations. (Just filling out a membership form this way, does not create a Neon account for you to access your membership. Creating an account ensures control over changing and creating memberships.
