    Golden Yoga with Angie Eng

    A wellness routine combining Qi Gong, Hatha Yoga, and sound healing for all, & customized for people over 50.

    Golden Yoga is a routine I developed last year over Zoom for my mother who is 75 after she came out of the hospital after a procedure with complications. At the same time I turned 51 and had frozen shoulder that prevented me from doing many yoga poses that I had been practicing for over 20 years. I developed a routine that combined qi-gong exercises taught by a choreographer and Chinese doctor in New York City, Eleanor Yung, and a Hatha yoga routine I learned in Union Square, Manhattan since the early 2000s. I also use frequencies during meditation inspired by local sound healer, Jonathan Goldman. This is not a typical American yoga class with difficult poses, fashionable attire, nor with the competitiveness. It focuses on flexibility, balance, calm and clarity.

    Open to all ages, but customized for those 50+ years old
    Wear loose attire
    –Yoga matts recomended but not necessary
    –Most work will be standing or sitting in a chair

    –Free to the public. Donations are welcome.

    Due to rising Covid cases related to the Delta variant, we now require proof of vaccination to attend any in-person event at the center. If there is a medical or other reason you cannot be vaccinated, please show proof at the door. You will then be allowed into the building, but we kindly ask and require you wear a mask at all times. If you are vaccinated, you are required to wear a mask in the building in common spaces (restroom, hallways), and have the option to remove your mask at your cushion/chair/yoga mat.
