This fall, bring your family to the Boulder Shambhala Center to unplug and connect with each other and with other families. Our family meditation and contemplative activities help develop strength, confidence and compassion. Guest presenters will bring offerings from movement and dance to contemplative arts.

Throughout this year we will be exploring the theme of kindness, including Shambhala teachings about basic goodness and the tradition of kind warriorship. During the second part of each class, parents come together for group conversations on "Parenting as Path" while the children explore one of the dharma arts, such as ikebana, calligraphy or Miksang photography.

Bodhi Family meets on the second Sunday of the month. It is accessible and fun for newcomers to the Buddhist path as well as experienced meditators. Families enjoy guided activities, exploration of basic meditation, Shambhala arts and good old-fashioned fun!

Our core group of teachers and coordinators ensures continuity and familiarity for the children, and guest presenters bring variety. A typical session begins with a short, guided meditation followed by an experiential, age-appropriate learning activity and winds down with conversation and snacks.

The four-class cycle costs $100 per student, or drop in for $25/session. Parents attend at no cost.
