    Spring Arts Day and Craft Sale
    Saturday, May 20

    Boulder Shambhala Center invites you to discover meditative arts such as kyudo (archery), healing arts and martial arts. Demonstrations and hands-on classes.

    This is a free, drop-in program. No need to register. The day includes:

    Contemplative art programs begin at noon. Boulder Shambhala Center invites you to discover contemplatitve arts such as Taiko Drumming, movement excersises, and the healing arts. Demonstrations and hands-on workshops will be offered.

    About the Presenters:


    Boulder Taiko Hibiki: was founded by Julia Misawa in 2006. BTH performs at cultural and community events along the Front Range. Julia Misawa studied traditional Japanese taiko for ten years under the guidance of Taiko Master Seiichi Tanaka.  It was Sensei Tanaka who first brought taiko to the US in 1968 when he founded San Francisco Taiko Dojo. 

    Nina Rolle: 

    is a voiceover actor, musician, writer, and storyteller. She co-hosts Truth Be Told, a bi-monthly story slam in Boulder, Colorado, and performs regularly with the samba group Chegando Lá  Her original show, Zen Cabaret: a contemplative burlesque received acclaim at the New York International Clown Festival, was awarded a Best of Denver, and was a two-time Pick of the Fringe at the Boulder Fringe Festival. Nina has music directed and performed her original scores in L.A., Minneapolis, New York, and Colorado. She teaches meditation at Naropa University and Dharma Art for Chapman University.


    Rose Sposito: is a practitioner and teacher of meditation and Shambhala since 1976. She has a masters in Oriental 5-element medicine which includes Plant Spirit Medicine. And Rose is a certified teacher/trainer in "Inner Relationship Focusing" and teach Focusing levels as well as individual and group sessions.
