The Boulder Shambhala Center is seeking a part-time employee to serve as its “Membership and Development Coordinator”. The responsibilities of this post are to nurture and grow BSC’s membership and to provide administrative support for the Executive Director’s cultural and financial initiatives.

The successful applicant will be a tremendously friendly extrovert who enjoys engaging with folks from all backgrounds, ages, genders and perspectives. Additionally, it’s important to be competent with software tools such as Word (good writing skills are critical) and Excel (for tracking and reconciling member dues with Finance records, for example,) and be capable of managing a large database. As far as support for the Director, the candidate will be helpful in creating complex but joyful events, whether community-building or fundraising.

As this role requires the successful candidate to communicate Shambhala’s mission and vision to prospective members, it is necessary to have completed Shambhala Training Level 5. Additional Shambhala path experience is highly desirable.

Compensation

  • $15/hour
  • 20 hours/week
