Donations to the Boulder Shambhala Center
The Boulder Shambhala Center relies on a combination of membership contributions, program fees and donations for its financial sustainability.
If you are inspired to make a donation to the Boulder Shambhala Center, you are welcome to specify how your donation will be used, or you may leave your gift unrestricted and the use of the funds will decided by the governing body of the center. All donations – regardless of size – are welcome and deeply appreciated, and play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the Boulder Shambhala Center.
If you would like to make a donation, you can complete the online donation form, or you are invited to have a conversation with Melanie Klein, Center Director, at 303-444-0190, ext. 119, or email@example.com.
Donations to the Boulder Shambhala Center are tax deductible. We will send you a receipt at the end of the year for tax purposes. The Boulder Shambhala Center is a division of Shambhala International (Vajradhatu) a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Boulder Shambhala Center Endowment
In the Fall of 2009, the Boulder Shambhala Center received a $60,000 bequest. Inspired by this gift, our community took a pioneering first step towards our long-term financial strength by investing it in an endowment – a savings account, where the principal is protected, and a portion of investment profits can be used for current projects.
In subsequent years, we continued to build our endowment, starting with re-investing $2,500 of earned income from its first year. We also dedicate a portion of unrestricted donations the center receives towards increasing the endowment. We envision a time in the future when the fund has grown to $1 million dollars, and the yearly investment income meaningfully increases the services the center can offer to our members and the larger Boulder community.
Help us grow our Boulder Shambhala Center endowment by making a donation, or including us in your will. If you are inspired to discuss this further, please contact Melanie Klein, Center Director, at 303-444-0190, ext. 119, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
