Shambhala Meditation: A Talk to Meditation Instructors
with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche

Sat June 29th: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Price: $40.00 Price

This talk is restricted to those authorized as Meditation Instructors, Assistant Directors, or Shambhala Guides in the Shambhala tradition.

Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche wishes to meet with meditation instructors to talk about the essence of Shambhala Meditation, and how we as meditation instructors guide students to embody this meditation in their practice and in their daily life.

Shambhala meditation is based upon humanity's inherent trust, goodness, and wisdom, and is a direct path to discovering worthiness and basic goodness. In particular, it addresses the modern tendency to not appreciate ourselves.

Shambhala meditation is not a technique per se—rather, it can be seen as the ground of all practice. The Shambhala tradition recognizes that meditation and culture are inextricably mixed. Through Shambhala meditation we discover our innate goodness and ability to simply be. This is the basis of a culture of kindness.

The Sakyong is will give three talks during the weekend program in Boulder entitled Shambhala Meditation: Creating a Culture of Kindness (June 28-30). Meditation Instructors who pay $225 to attend this entire weekend will not need to pay an additional cost for the Saturday evening talk to M.I.s. However, we ask that you register for the M.I. talk by clicking the registration button below - simply do not input any payment. To register for the full weekend with the Sakyong, please click here.
