Come to the following workshop to learn more. The onset of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FMS) can turn your life, or the life of someone you love, into endless days of turmoil; creating great suffering and loss. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates more than one million people in the United States, from every age, ethnic and socioeconomic group, have CFS. There is no diagnostic test, and there is no cure. However, you can improve your function and quality of life. I have walked this path. I understand the endless suffering, and the courage and self-love that is required to find peace and the opportunity for health. You can be a ‘Courageous Warrior’; using illness as a tool for change can be transformational. In this class, I will be sharing my recovery story, providing education on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, exploring various coping skills, and discussing how illness can be a teacher. You can find ‘love and compassion’ on your peaceful path! Did you know Ken Wilber has 'Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" (CFIDS or CFS) ? http://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/blogs/integral_institute_site_news/archive/2006/12/28/17295.aspx If you have questions about this workshop, please e-mail Pat at pat@caringcounselor.com Pat Gurnick is a psychotherapist (over 20 years), and ‘survivor’ of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.
